Throughout our buying season for Autumn Winter 2010-2011 for Kindred Sole we couldn't help but notice the influx in fur fashion that was going to be hitting our high street and computer screens later on in the year.

At first Beth and I thought this is going to be a micro-trend that will pass quickly however as the buying season went on and Autumn fashion issues of magazines started to hit the shelves it was confirmed it was actually going to be a rather big trend - if the designers and media pack had anything to do with it anyway.

But we want to know what the consumers think....
What do you think about fur fashion - whether it be faux or real?

If a woman wears faux fur does it really mean she is supporting extreme cruelty to animals?

A recent article in Elle Magazine interviewing Brix Smith-Smart on the issue "I have a few vintage pieces my grandmother left me and I think buying vintage fur is fine" - this opens up a whole new angle to the debate!

In the same article Hilary Alexander is interviewed "I think we have to take different cultures into account and not impose view points on people. Inhabitants of northern China for example could not survive below zero temperatures without wearing fur" - this is a valid point but the case of fashion over survival also has to be considered.

This debate began in the Kindred Sole office at the beginning of the year - during our first look at Autumn/Winter 2010-11 shoes and boots. On the catwalks there were designers such as Chanel sending boots covered from sole to calf down the runway.

Here at Kindred Sole we have seen some incredible faux fur boots - cuffed, lined and trimed with fur but we want to know what you think....whether your are extremely against it, don't mind it or all for it we want to hear from you!! We want to hear all view points!
